Always check with your tile consultant. Porous tiles, such as natural stone, as well as polished porcelain, require sealing, as these tiles can absorb moisture, stains and bacteria.

How can I get a stain out of marble?
Depending upon the type of stain, how long it has been there, and the extent to which it has absorbed, there are a number of commercial grade tile cleaners available, such as Aquamix products.
